Contact Joy

Joy came to painting professionally after being a naval wife, and bringing up 5 children! She studied under Ted Jones for many years before embarking on her academic training in England and France. Her academic achievements include:

1992 Honours Degree in Fine Art, Plymouth University (Awarded the Graduation Award in the Faculty of Fine Art)

1991 Term at the "Ecole des Beaux-Arts", Nantes, France

1985 Diploma in Fine Art, Brighton Polytechnic

Joy lived and worked in the Deux Sèvres region of France between 1992 - 2002, and her work is heavily influenced by that experience. She returned to England to Cornwall via Suffolk and is glad that the distraction of moving houses and country are behind her. Joy is excited to be living in Cornwall, where her half-Welsh Celtic roots and her continuing love of the sea are amply stimulated. She is looking forward to new challenges of exploration.
